It starts as a spark...

The Thoughts & Work Of Elizabeth Carroll

...and ends as a story.

As a girl who always had her head in the clouds

I knew I was destined to become a writer.

I also knew I would most likely develop an addiction to sweet tea (I am Southern, after all), I would enjoy all kinds of music, and my hobbies would include word and jigsaw puzzles, reading, painting bisques, traveling, and spending time with my family. What I didn’t know was that I would become wife to Charlie and mommy to Wesley, the two greatest fellas in the world. I was also surprised to learn that I actually like yoga, that my career would be in teaching, and that How to Train Your Dragon would become my go-to movie of choice.

In between all the knowing-and-discovering that goes on in my life,

I do manage to write a few books.

My most recent creation, The Swinging Doors, is a historical women’s fiction novel that took the better half of my life to write. I also have the fourth and final book in my young adult fantasy fiction series coming out later this year. The Lost Guardian will complete the story that began with The Secret Keeper and continued in The Convergence and The Gateway. I also dabble in short stories and have been featured in two anthologies, The Seven Story House and Through the Pane.

When two other Secret Keepers, Andrew and Daisy, show up, they bring a dire message: The Gateway, home to all fantastical beings, has begun to unravel.
